EVENTS IN JANUARY

1st of January: New Year

The celebration begins every year before the turn of the year or from the sun is hidden in the day before. The fireworks, dances and folk festivals are three main attractions for what this celebration is of great interest to visitors. It should be noted that these celebrations will give the length and breadth of the Costa Brava.

6th of January: Epiphany of the Three Kings Festivity in Blanes

This popular and religious celebration takes place every year to celebrate the arrival of the Three Kings. Dances, competitions and folk festivals are an essential part of the festivities. Another activity of great renown within this party is the famed Cavalcade of the Three Kings. Here, Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar walk the main streets of Bulnes and happy to make the smallest, both with their presence as with gifts.

EVENTS IN FEBRUARY

Carnival in Platja d'Aro

This annual celebration is characterized by light, color, animation and excitement that it is felt every day. In short, the party that lives here during the Carnival is endless. In Platja d'Aro, the main attraction is the traditional and famed Grand parade of floats and Comparsas. It should be noted that there are more than seventy groups and, at least, four thousand players. Another detail for which this Carnival is famous is its cosmopolitan style. It involves a variety of bands in Europe, a fact which gives it a unique touch intercultural.

On Tuesday, Carnival in Verges

This festivity is a tradition in this town which makes many visitors come here to witness year after year. It consists of the age-old custom in which medieval feudal lords gave him a meal to the community. This celebration has crossed the barrier of time and takes place in a collective manner in Verges. In itself, this is a ritual of coexistence where it is testing the comradeship and solidarity of the people.

One day in March without specifying: Shops On-Street

The main attraction of this activity is trade that can be seen along its length. Here, traders in Platja d'Aro sell a variety of products to the audience from ten in the morning until ten at night. Semana Santa in Blanes

A weekend of April: Festival of "Pasquet" in Castell d'Aro

This celebration takes place over a full weekend and it is characterized by the intensity that will put their residents. This tradition is very old and it consists in seeking the best pine and then plant it in a public square. After this many activities take place to celebrate the fact.
